The Lawrenceville Farmers’ Market Has a New Location!

The Lawrenceville Farmers’ Market is changing locations for the 2016 season, and will be held in Arsenal Park in Central Lawrenceville beginning June 4th! Arsenal Park is located between 39th and 40th, and between Penn and Butler.

We surveyed more than 250 Lawrenceville residents and received an overwhelming response that residents would like to see the market  take advantage of some of the fantastic green space we have in the neighborhood, offering opportunities for kids to play, families to picnic, and neighbors to enjoy the natural beauty of a park. Through the survey, we also learned that many community members were excited about the prospect of the Farmers’ Market being more centrally located within the 3 wards of Lawrenceville. The Farmers’ Market committee feels that the best location to make the market a sustainable fresh food source for the Lawrenceville community is Arsenal Park. Though we have loved being in the 10th Ward, we are excited that the influx of new businesses in the past several years has also brought increased fresh food access to the neighborhood. We are so grateful to have had such wonderful hosts in Goodwill, Allegheny Valley Bank, and the 10th Ward.

Please help us make this move a success by sharing this announcement with neighbors and friends!  We can’t wait to see you in the Park!

The market will be located on the 40th Street side of Arsenal park, on Saturdays from 1-4pm, from June 4th to October 29th.
