Why do you want to be on the LU Board? What would you like to work on within the neighborhood? I believe in the importance of community -LU does a great job of creating a sense of community among all the different groups in Lawrenceville. I hope to continue working on creating affordable housing in the neighborhood and developing programs that allow long time residents to remain and allow folks of all income levels to move into Lawrenceville.

Please list Volunteer, Non-Profit, or Board Experience: Current – LU Board, Thomas Merton Center Board – Past; Common Cause, Women’s Center, various democratic political groups, ran a food pantry in Harrisburg, was a housing counselor

What makes Lawrenceville unique? Why? Lawrenceville has maintained, so far, a great combination of the old and the new. Great walkability with the business district.

One of LU’s core values is equity and the organization will be undergoing anti-oppression trainings in summer 2022, which new Board members will participate in. What’s one idea you have for how LU should live out its commitment to equity? Continue efforts to provide programming that is welcoming to our neighbors who so far have not felt welcome. Continue our efforts to provide affordable housing, provide assistance to current homeowners who are struggling with maintaining their homes.

How are you involved in the Lawrenceville community? Current LU board member, Working with LU housing committee, volunteering with various LU programs – (food bank, farmers market) active with local political activity
