Recap of Community Development Activities Meeting for Liquor License Transfer at 4115 Butler St

On Thursday, October 30th, at 5:30 PM, Lawrenceville United and Lawrenceville Corporation hosted the Community Development Activities Meetings via Zoom/LU’s Facebook LIVE. The CDAM focused on the liquor license transfer for 4115 Butler St (formerly Smoke). Kai Guo, the owner of the new venture for the space, Sweet and Sour, a restaurant focused on American Chinese food, was in attendance.

The meeting opened with LU’s Emma Gamble (Community Engagement & Program Manager) and LC’s Ross Greenberg (Business District Coordinator) giving introductions and explaining the ground rules of the meeting before turning it over to Kai Guo. Kai shared the vision for the space, plans for sound mitigation, and that they hope to open in early 2026.

Following the presentation, a Community Q&A was opened up and LU and LC shared upcoming events with attendees before closing the meeting. LU and LC greatly appreciate all the feedback provided.
