Please join Lawrenceville United and Lawrenceville Corporation on Thursday 9/23 at 6:30 PM as we continue to organize with the Lawrenceville community (and beyond) in response to Amazon’s plans to open a last-mile distribution center at the former Sears Outlet site (27 51st Street).
This virtual meeting will include a conversation with representatives from the Coalition for Responsible Development for Grand Island (CRED4GI), an all-volunteer group of residents who successfully organized against an Amazon fulfillment center in NY, as well as the Athena Coalition, a broad national coalition working to “stop Amazon’s growing, powerful grip over our society and economy.” Following the discussion with CRED4GI and Athena, we will move into break-out rooms with the working groups that have assembled to date.
This is an open and public virtual meeting accessible by Zoom and by phone. Advance registration is required. Please register at bit.ly/AZResponse4 or with LU at 412-802-7220.
