Community meetings were held with the owners of Spirit (the former Moose Lodge Building). They have proposed to open a restaurant/bar with a pizzeria on the 1st Floor of the building and an event hall on the 2nd Floor with outside seating along 50th Street. LU and LC are working with Councilwoman Gross, the owners, the LCB to create a Conditional License Agreement for the business. LU and LC attended the zoning hearing held last week to reiterate the need for adequate parking, a full landscaping plan, and code-compliant and attractive screening on the 50th St. side of the property, in addition to responsible operation of the business. A follow up community meeting will be held in early 2015.
