Being part of a committee is a great way to get more involved in our community. Committees are open to any Lawrenceville resident, but some have a brief application process, detailed below.
Meets monthly to develop and advocate for equitable housing policy and to plan an annual housing event. Contact Dave Breingan to get involved.
Lawrenceville Farmers’ Market Advisory Committee
Meets monthly to plan for and support the Lawrenceville Farmers’ Market, including shaping priorities and providing oversight for the Market Manager. Contact Helen Ewing to get involved. Brief application required.
Special Events and Membership Committee
Meets monthly on the first Monday of the month to plan special events and membership outreach and activities. Contact Helen Ewing to get involved.
Meets monthly on the second Monday of the month to plan Lawrenceville’s annual Independence Day Celebration and the Night at the Races fundraiser that supports it. Contact Helen to get involved.
Senior AdvantAge Steering Committee
Meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month to provide oversight for the Senior AdvantAge program, with the vision of encouraging a fully-integrated community where people ages 55+ can enjoy a safe, healthy, fulfilling life; one where all members contribute and are treated with respect; where people are connected to one another and to resources without barriers. Lawrenceville Tree Tenders
Meets every other month to create and implement a strategy to protect and plant trees in the neighborhood of Lawrenceville. Contact Maeve Rafferty to get involved.
Upper Lawrenceville Greening Committee
Meets every other month to implement the 10th Ward Community Greening Plan (link to: https://lvpgh.app.box.com/s/aa845671ce9nr6yyp4xj2ct3i86sguei). The group is currently focused on maintaining the Tree Park at Stanton and Keystone, and with developing Duncan Park at Duncan and 54th. Contact Helen Ewing to get involved.
