Committees

Committee Meetings are held monthly to discuss issues that have been brought to the committee's attention and plan both short-term and long-term solutions.

 

Public Safety Committee

Works to stop drug and criminal activity, prostitution, and graffiti, and also coordinates efforts to remove problem tenants from housing both public and private

 

Housing Committee

Meets as an advisory committee to make recommendations aimed at eliminating blight and ensuring that meaningful resident input makes it's way into redevelopment projects. Develops strategies for sub-standard properties.

 

Community Events Committee

The Community Events Committee of Lawrenceville United helps to coordinate events that promote neighborhood solidarity, including the

Independence Day Celebration - an annual event designed to bring together the residents of the community

Working with Lawrenceville Corporation on special events such as Elm Street, Community Gardens, and Lawrenceville Clean-Up Days

Halloween Party - A Lawrenceville tradition that invites children ages 14 and under to a night of family oriented entertainment. Halloween costume contest and treats for the kids

Holiday Party - A night of family oriented fun for families of Lawrenceville to kick-off the holiday season
