What makes Lawrenceville unique? Why? The most unique thing about Lawrenceville is the mix of old and new. We have hip businesses such as Cure and Wild Card, but we also have long-time establishments such as Hambones and Wagners. Changing demographics also provide an element of diversity – with long-time residents now living alongside new residents. Even architecture carries the same theme, with contemporary buildings being built next to historic buildings
What is was one thing you would like to work on within the neighborhood? Why? I want to have a voice in Lawrenceville’s transformation. This includes working with the community, city, and developers to influence change in a responsible manner that benefits all residents. I’m particularly concerned with the scale of commercial development, shortage of parking, and increasing traffic.
What LU program or project most interests you? Why? I’m particularly interested in engaging the community in development projects. It’s important that the community has a voice in the changes occurring in their community. At minimum, the community should be advocating for smart, responsible change to prevent deterioration of quality of life for residents and protecting public safety.
What is one fun fact that others might be surprised to know about you? I am a dual citizen. I hold citizenships in the United States and Italy.
