The leaves are changing color, the Steelers fans are cheering in Heinz Field, and the winds are whistling throughout our city—we’ve reached fall in Pittsburgh. With your continued support, we are able to build upon the success of each past year to create fun events for long-time and new residents to enjoy!

We have heard from you and are working to tailor these events to better suit our community’s needs. We solicited feedback from participants in the events last year and have made changes to help ensure that more residents and stakeholders are able to enjoy the festivities. For example, this Halloween, we would like to partner with you to facilitate a trick or treat event for the local children with local businesses, i.e. kids will be able to trick or treat at your business from 4p – 5:30p thus creating a safe festive atmosphere for residents, stakeholders, and businesses alike. In addition, we are working to create an even bigger and more exciting haunted house for the children, and will certainly be bringing back a DJ for the monster mash in addition to many more fun activities!
decided to split the holiday party for the children and the tree lighting. We will invite everyone out to light the tree (near the entrance to Allegheny Cemetery) with a small outside reception and celebration on Wednesday November 30th which will launch the weekend of holiday festivities in Lawrenceville. Our traditional Light Up Lawrenceville event will be held with the Cookie Mall on Saturday, December 3rd. Santa will be available for pictures and with gifts for each child, and we will have fun activities and games for all families to enjoy!
